The forthcoming referendum on the UK’s membership of the EU is probably the most important political question any of us has dealt with. But often the debate is reduced to arguments only about the economy and immigration. We think this is an opportunity to pose wider questions such as: what sort of country do we want to live in? What sort of Europe do we want? This exhibition looks at whether or not there is a European heritage and culture which can help us address the many challenges of today and then asks if the EU is a help or a hindrance in doing so.
